This month's spotlight is FEEKA, located in the same vicinity as our previous café feature, Paolo Paolo Gelato! For more information on getting here, check out our previus post here.
The entrance to Feeka was just like most cafes of this era—simple and aesthetic. The dark and moody interior made us feel calmer as we stepped through the doors, away from the hot afternoon sun. It looked like a nice place for the Gram, so we all loved it! It would have been more chill with fewer customers, but the weekend crowd made the place much livelier. We were ushered behind a curtain to a quieter corner with a horseshoe-shaped couch. The vibe there was a bit more bar-like.
We soon realised that we could also order from the adjoining Pizza Mansion, giving customers more choices. But maybe because our table was between Feeka and Pizza Mansion, we couldn’t easily get the attention of the service crew. Later, we found that we had to order at the counter and did so. Perhaps better signage or instructions will help. The crew was understandably busy but friendly and helpful when I went up to them for more spoons. It will be hard to flag one during the peak hours.

While deciding what to eat, we were slightly disappointed that a dish we saw on Instagram wasn’t available in this branch of FEEKA. So check ahead if there’s anything that catches your eye. Anyway, this gives us a reason to revisit FEEKA, even if it’s a different branch, hehe!
We washed down our meal with iced water (free!), an ice matcha latte (RM13), an ice chocolate (RM12), and a bottle of cold brew coffee (RM16). The ice matcha latte and ice chocolate were unfortunately very watered down. I guess because Feeka is supposed to be a coffee speciality place, the cold brew tasted the best.
Our two breakfast dishes and two mains arrived promptly while we were talking. Eggs Royale (RM32) was poached egg with Bonito flakes hollandaise (a mixture of egg yolk, melted butter, and lemon juice), house-cured salmon, chives, arugula, and sourdough toast.
Another memorable one was the Lamb Shakshuka (RM32), a North African and Middle Eastern dish. Consisting of onsen egg in a sauce made from tomatoes and various spices, it resembled a thick stew, so we kept slurping on it like soup. It contained ricotta cheese, yoghurt, coriander and Dukkah (a condiment of herbs, nuts, and spices). Words can’t describe how appetising it was!
For mains, I tried the Peruvian Grilled Chicken (RM29.00) that was set in front of me first, and it was SO GOOD! It comes with garlic mashed potato, an Aji Verde dip (Peruvian Green Sauce), and topped with some salad.
The last dish we tried was the FEEKA Nasi Halba (RM33), a twist on the local favourite Nasi Lemak. It comes with the usual fried peanuts, anchovies, cucumber, and egg. FEEKA added Madras fried chicken, beef in dark soy sauce, and sambal tofu to create a really filling and fragrant main.
Everything we ordered was nicely seasoned and super flavourful. The portions were quite enough for a person, and we all left feeling really full. Given the portion, the price was quite acceptable in comparison with other pricier places.
What’s the verdict?
Will we go there again? We will return for the grilled chicken and also try other things on the menu!
Is it worth the hype? For an all-day dining with unique and mouth-watering cuisine? Yes, please! Sign me up!
