We recently embarked on a short, two days one night, escape from the city to a serene staycation at Avani, a picturesque resort an hours drive away from Kuala Lumpur.
Nestled among the mainland beachfront, Avani presents a backdrop with lush gardens and a palm structure gracefully built on stilts, extending over the inviting warmth of shallow waters.
Room
We stayed in the Superior room, thoughtfully designed for two adults. The room is furnished with a terrace that enhances the experience of gazing out into the mesmerising coastline, providing a space to unwind and soak in the beauty of the sea.
Restaurants
After a long day, the rumbling in our stomachs served as a reminder for dinner, prompting our journey to the dinner venue at Avani. Sepoi Sepoi is a restaurant serving Western cuisine and located right by the beachside. This made for a unique and memorable dining experience.
Bila Bila provided a delicious start to the next day with its international breakfast buffet spread, offering a diverse range of food. We enjoyed breakfast while basking in the breathtaking views as the restaurant overlooks the infinity pool and the expansive sea.
Facilities
Avani has a range of enticing facilities, including an overwater infinity pool, fitness centre overlooking the tranquil surroundings, and an on-site spa.
Priced at RM490 per night, the Superior room encapsulates affordability without compromising the comfort and charm of Avani. Guests also enjoy perks such as a complimentary breakfast and free access to the infinity pool and the gym. The convenience extends to free parking spaces, which is favourable and appreciated by guests who choose to drive.
Overall, our stay at Avani was a laid-back and delightful experience. It is perfect for both couples seeking a romantic getaway and families looking for a relaxing holiday. However, it’s worth noting that there is no convenient store within the villa premises, so be sure to plan ahead and get any essentials you might need such as mineral water before settling in!
